Term & Condition

Welcome to Ankita Boutique.

These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you visit our website, submit an enquiry, communicate with us, place a stitching order, use our fabric pickup or delivery service, or use any other service offered by Ankita Boutique.

Our services mainly involve custom stitching and garment-related services, where the final outfit may depend on the customer’s fabric, measurements, design requirements, materials and other practical factors. These terms are intended to keep the process clear and fair for both the customer and Ankita Boutique.

1. About Ankita Boutique

Munsi Ka Pura, Jhunsi, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh – 211019, India

Our services may include:

  • Blouse stitching

  • Suit and Kurti stitching

  • Kids’ dress stitching
  • Alteration and customization
  • Bridal and designer stitching
  • Lehenga and Gown rental
  • Fabric pickup and finished outfit delivery

We do not generally sell ready-made garments as our primary service. Our services are focused on custom stitching and related garment services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, submitting an enquiry, communicating with us, or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions.

An enquiry does not automatically create a confirmed order. A custom order becomes confirmed when the relevant order details, price and payment requirements have been agreed between the customer and Ankita Boutique.

Where a specific order confirmation or written communication contains additional terms, those terms may apply to that particular order, subject to applicable law.

3. Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website for genuine and lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • Provide knowingly false or misleading information;
  • Place fraudulent or intentionally misleading orders;
  • Attempt unauthorised access to our website, systems or accounts;
  • Upload malicious files or harmful code;
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the website;
  • Misuse enquiry or contact forms;
  • Impersonate another person or business;
  • Copy or commercially exploit protected website content without permission; or
  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose.

We may take reasonable steps to restrict access where misuse, security concerns or unlawful activity are identified.

4. Customised Stitching Services

Custom stitching depends on several factors, including:

  • Customer measurements;
  • Customer-supplied fabric;
  • Fabric quality and behaviour;
  • Design and construction requirements;
  • Embroidery and decorative work;
  • Accessories and additional materials;
  • Finishing requirements; and
  • Practical stitching limitations.

Because each garment is individually made, the final garment may not be identical to a ready-made product or a reference photograph.

5. Service Enquiry and Order Confirmation

An enquiry, quotation or discussion does not by itself confirm an order.

Before an order is confirmed, applicable details may include:

  • Garment type;
  • Measurements;
  • Design/reference;
  • Fabric;
  • Additional materials;
  • Stitching charges;
  • Pickup/delivery charges;
  • Payment requirements; and
  • Expected completion date.

The order will normally proceed after the relevant details have been agreed and the required payment has been received.

6. Measurements

Measurements may be taken by Ankita Boutique or provided by the customer.

Where the customer provides their own measurements, the customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate measurements and relevant fitting instructions.

Incorrect, incomplete, outdated or changed measurements may affect the final fit.

Where a fitting issue is reasonably determined to have resulted from Ankita Boutique’s stitching or workmanship, it will be handled according to the applicable fitting-correction terms.

7. Customer-Supplied Fabric – Online Orders, Defects and Damage

For online stitching orders where the customer sends or arranges delivery of fabric, the customer should check the fabric before dispatch and inform Ankita Boutique about any known or visible defect, damage or weakness.

This may include:

  • Cuts or tears;
  • Holes;
  • Stains;
  • Fading or colour variation;
  • Loose or weak areas;
  • Previous stitching or alterations;
  • Embroidery or printing defects;
  • Shrinkage;
  • Fabric shortage;
  • Previous-use damage; or
  • Any other known condition that may affect stitching or the final garment.

For expensive, delicate, old, previously used or sentimental fabric, customers are strongly advised to take clear photographs or video of the fabric before sending it.

Customers should also disclose any known issue before the fabric is cut.

7.1 Inspection Before Cutting

Where reasonably practicable, Ankita Boutique may inspect the apparent condition of the fabric before cutting.

If an apparent material issue is noticed, we may contact the customer for clarification or further instructions.

However, some internal, hidden or pre-existing weaknesses may not be reasonably visible during a normal inspection and may only become apparent during cutting, stitching or later use.

7.2 Pre-Existing Defects

If a pre-existing defect, weakness, damage, shortage or other condition of the customer-supplied fabric affects cutting, stitching, fitting or the final appearance, Ankita Boutique will not be responsible for the resulting effect where it was not caused or worsened by Ankita Boutique’s handling or workmanship.

7.3 Damage Caused During Our Handling

This section does not exclude responsibility where damage is caused by Ankita Boutique’s negligence, improper handling or workmanship, subject to applicable law.

7.4 Cutting of Customer-Supplied Fabric

Once fabric has been cut according to the confirmed order, it cannot normally be restored to its original uncut condition.

Customers should therefore provide accurate instructions and disclose known fabric issues before cutting.

Where necessary, Ankita Boutique may pause work and seek clarification before proceeding.

Nothing in this section is intended to exclude any consumer or statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Design References and Customer Instructions

Customers may provide photographs, sketches, screenshots or other design references for their garment.

A reference image is provided only to communicate the desired style, look, pattern or design direction. Ankita Boutique does not guarantee that the finished garment will be an exact or identical reproduction of the reference design.

The final garment may differ from the reference in design, shape, proportion, placement, finishing, detailing or overall appearance because the final result may depend on:

  • Type, quality, texture, thickness and behaviour of the fabric;
  • Customer’s measurements and body proportions;
  • Availability and suitability of lace, buttons, hooks, pads, accessories and other materials;
  • Construction and stitching requirements;
  • Embroidery, printing, embellishment or decorative-work limitations;
  • Technical or practical limitations involved in creating the garment;
  • Changes required for proper fitting, comfort, durability or construction; and
  • Other practical factors that may affect the final result.

If a particular design feature is important to the customer, it should be clearly communicated before the order is confirmed and stitching begins.

By providing a reference image, the customer acknowledges that the reference is a design guide and not a guarantee of an identical final result.

Ankita Boutique will make reasonable efforts to follow the agreed design direction while adapting it to the fabric, measurements, available materials and practical requirements of the garment.

9. Payment and Start of Stitching – Online Orders

For online custom stitching orders, full payment for the confirmed order will normally be required before stitching work begins, unless a different payment arrangement has been specifically agreed by Ankita Boutique.

Before stitching begins, the following details should be discussed, confirmed or finalised, as applicable:

  • Complete customer measurements;
  • Garment type and stitching requirements;
  • Reference photographs, sketches or design instructions;
  • Important design features requested by the customer;
  • Fabric details and, where applicable, the condition of customer-supplied fabric;
  • Additional materials or accessories required;
  • Stitching, material, pickup/delivery and other applicable charges;
  • Expected completion or dispatch timeline; and
  • Any other important requirement necessary to process the order.

Where the customer is required to send fabric to Ankita Boutique, the actual date of receipt of the required fabric may be considered for processing the order, as stitching cannot normally proceed without the required fabric.

Once the required order details have been finalised, the required fabric has been received where applicable, and full payment has been received, Ankita Boutique may begin stitching according to the confirmed order details.

If any required measurement, design confirmation, information, fabric or other approval is pending from the customer, the stitching or delivery timeline may be affected accordingly.

10. Pricing and Stitching Charges

Stitching charges may vary according to:

  • Garment type;
  • Design complexity;
  • Customisation;
  • Decorative or embroidery work;
  • Alteration requirements;
  • Finishing;
  • Construction requirements; and
  • Additional work requested by the customer.

The applicable price will normally be communicated before order confirmation.

Prices displayed online may be indicative and may not apply to every custom order.

Any significant change requested by the customer may result in a change in the applicable charges.

11. Additional Materials and Charges

Materials such as:

  • Lace;
  • Pads;
  • Hooks;
  • Buttons;
  • Zippers;
  • Lining;
  • Interlining;
  • Decorative materials; and
  • Other accessories

may be charged separately from stitching charges.

Where reasonably possible, applicable additional charges will be communicated before such materials are used.

12. Changes to a Confirmed Order

Once an order has been confirmed, cutting or stitching may make certain changes difficult or impossible.

If a customer requests a change after confirmation, cutting or commencement of stitching, additional charges may apply for:

  • Additional labour;
  • Materials;
  • Re-cutting;
  • Re-stitching;
  • Replacement;
  • Alteration; or
  • Additional finishing work.

We will communicate applicable charges where reasonably possible before carrying out additional work.

13. Expected Completion Date

An expected or committed completion date may be communicated to the customer and may also be recorded on the bill or order details.

Completion may depend on:

  • Type and complexity of the garment;
  • Additional work;
  • Customer approvals;
  • Material availability;
  • Seasonal workload;
  • Pickup or delivery requirements; and
  • Circumstances beyond reasonable control.

An expected date is intended to provide a reasonable completion timeline and may be affected by circumstances outside the boutique’s reasonable control.

14. Fitting and Stitching Correction

If the customer notices a fitting or stitching-related issue after receiving the finished garment, the customer should contact Ankita Boutique and report the issue within 7 days of receiving the garment.

Where the issue is reasonably determined to be due to Ankita Boutique’s stitching or workmanship, the applicable correction will be carried out without additional stitching charges, subject to the nature and feasibility of the required correction.

The 7-day period does not remove any consumer or statutory remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Customer-Requested Alterations

A customer-requested change is different from a correction of an error attributable to Ankita Boutique.

Additional charges may apply where the customer requests:

  • A new design;
  • A different fit;
  • A style change;
  • A change that was not part of the original order;
  • Alteration after the applicable free-correction period; or
  • Correction required because incorrect measurements were supplied by the customer.

Where possible, applicable charges will be communicated before additional work begins.

16. Ready Garment Collection

Customers should collect the ready garment within 30 days from the date it is ready, unless another arrangement has been agreed.

Customers should keep their bill or receipt safely.

Where a bill or receipt is lost, the customer should contact Ankita Boutique with sufficient order details to help identify the order.

After 30 days, continued storage or availability of the garment in the same condition or manner cannot necessarily be guaranteed.

This section does not exclude any mandatory consumer or statutory rights.

17. Final Payment and Payment Confirmation

For online custom stitching orders, full payment is required before stitching work starts, unless Ankita Boutique has specifically agreed to another payment arrangement.

Before making payment, customers are advised to review the confirmed measurements, garment requirements, design instructions, applicable charges and other important order details communicated by Ankita Boutique.

Payment confirmation relates to the confirmed order details agreed between the customer and Ankita Boutique.

Payment does not mean that a reference photograph or design will be reproduced exactly. Reference designs remain subject to the factors and limitations described under “Design References and Customer Instructions.”

If the customer requests a change after payment, finalisation, receipt of fabric, cutting or commencement of stitching, the requested change may require additional material, labour, alteration, re-stitching or other charges depending on the nature and stage of the order.

Where a requested change is required because of a stitching or workmanship issue attributable to Ankita Boutique, the applicable correction will be handled according to the Fitting and Stitching Correction section and applicable law.

Cancellation or refund requests will be handled according to the Refund, Cancellation & Pricing Policy and applicable law.

For local/offline orders, an advance payment may be required before stitching begins, as communicated at the time of order confirmation. Any remaining balance will be payable according to the agreed order terms.

18. Fabric Pickup Service

Fabric pickup may be available in eligible areas of Prayagraj, subject to:

  • Location;
  • Accessibility;
  • Distance;
  • Availability;
  • Timing; and
  • Service conditions.

Fabric pickup charges, where applicable, are separate from stitching charges and will be communicated to the customer.

19. Finished Outfit Delivery

Finished outfit delivery may be available in eligible service areas.

Depending on the destination, delivery may be carried out through local delivery arrangements or courier/logistics services.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are separate from stitching charges and may depend on the destination and delivery method.

20. Customer Responsibility for Pickup and Delivery Information

Customers must provide accurate:

  • Name;
  • Mobile number;
  • WhatsApp number where applicable;
  • Address;
  • PIN code; and
  • Landmark or other delivery information.

Incorrect or incomplete information may cause delays or additional delivery attempts.

Where an additional delivery attempt or related cost is required because of incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, applicable charges may be communicated to the customer.

21. Delivery Delays

Ankita Boutique will make reasonable efforts to complete and deliver orders within the communicated timeline.

However, delays may occur due to circumstances such as:

  • Weather;
  • Traffic;
  • Courier or logistics delays;
  • Incorrect address;
  • Public restrictions;
  • Technical or operational issues;
  • High seasonal demand;
  • Material availability; or
  • Other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, customers will be informed about significant delays.

22. Rental Lehenga and Gown

For rental garments, the customer must follow the agreed rental period and return the garment within the communicated return date.

The customer should take reasonable care of the rented garment and any included accessories.

Applicable charges may arise for:

  • Late return;
  • Loss;
  • Significant damage;
  • Missing accessories; or
  • Other reasonably recoverable costs,

as communicated under the applicable rental terms.

23. Cancellation and Refund

Custom stitching orders involve individual measurements, design decisions, fabric handling, labour and, in some cases, materials purchased specifically for the customer.

Cancellation and refund requests may therefore depend on:

  • The stage of the order;
  • Whether fabric has been received;
  • Whether fabric has been cut;
  • Whether stitching has started;
  • Work already completed;
  • Materials already purchased or used; and
  • Other reasonable costs already incurred.

Cancellation before cutting or commencement of stitching may be considered according to the applicable Refund, Cancellation & Pricing Policy.

Once customised work has started, cancellation or refund may not be possible in the same manner as an unstarted order.

All cancellation and refund decisions remain subject to applicable law and any consumer or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

24. Change of Mind

Because custom garments are made according to individual requirements, measurements and design instructions, a change of mind after customised work has started does not automatically create an entitlement to a full refund.

This does not affect any remedy available to the customer where the service has not been provided as agreed or where applicable law provides otherwise.

25. Fitting Issues and Correction by Another Tailor

The 7-day fitting correction service applies only to garments that have been stitched by Ankita Boutique.

If the customer notices a fitting or stitching-related issue after receiving the finished garment, the customer should contact Ankita Boutique and discuss the issue with us within 7 days of delivery.

Where the issue is reasonably determined to be related to Ankita Boutique’s stitching or fitting work, the applicable correction will be carried out by Ankita Boutique without additional stitching charges, subject to the nature and feasibility of the required correction.

Customers should not have the garment altered, repaired, re-stitched or otherwise modified by another tailor or third party before discussing the fitting issue with Ankita Boutique.

If the customer gets the garment altered, repaired or modified by another tailor or third party before giving Ankita Boutique a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address the issue, the 7-day free fitting correction service from Ankita Boutique will not apply to that garment, because the original stitching and fitting condition may have been changed and the original cause of the issue may no longer be reasonably determined.

In such circumstances, any further alteration or correction requested from Ankita Boutique may be considered separately and may be subject to applicable charges.

The 7-day period will be counted from the date the finished garment is delivered to the customer.

Nothing in this section is intended to exclude any consumer or statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.

26. Care After Delivery

Customers should inspect the finished garment after receiving it and report any fitting or stitching concern promptly.

Where applicable, fitting concerns should be reported within the 7-day period described in these Terms.

Customers should follow appropriate care instructions for the fabric and garment.

Improper washing, ironing, storage, accidental damage, misuse or other damage occurring after delivery will not automatically be treated as a stitching defect.

27. Customer Reviews and Feedback

Customers are welcome to provide genuine feedback about our services.

Feedback should not knowingly:

  • Contain false or misleading information;
  • Disclose another person’s private information without permission;
  • Infringe another person’s intellectual property rights;
  • Contain unlawful material; or
  • Contain malicious code or harmful material.

We may use genuine feedback to improve our services.

We do not automatically receive unlimited rights to use a customer’s identifiable photograph or personal information for advertising merely because the customer has provided feedback.

28. Intellectual Property

The Ankita Boutique name, logo, original website content, photographs, graphics, videos, written content and other original creative material may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless permitted by law or with appropriate permission, such material must not be:

  • Copied;
  • Reproduced;
  • Modified;
  • Published;
  • Sold;
  • Distributed; or
  • Commercially exploited.

Third-party trademarks, photographs, designs and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

29. Customer-Provided Images and Designs

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary right or permission to provide photographs, sketches, designs or other reference material to Ankita Boutique.

Customers should not knowingly provide material that infringes another person’s:

  • Copyright;
  • Trademark;
  • Privacy rights;
  • Publicity rights; or
  • Other legal rights.

Where there is a reasonable concern about the legality or ownership of a design or reference, Ankita Boutique may decline to use the material.

30. Website Content and Images

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and useful.

However:

  • Colours may appear different on different screens;
  • Reference photographs may not represent the exact final garment;
  • Service availability may vary by location;
  • Prices may change;
  • Images may show design examples rather than guaranteed final results; and
  • Website information may occasionally require correction or updating.

Obvious errors or outdated information may be corrected when identified.

31. Electronic Communication

Ankita Boutique may communicate with customers through:

  • Website;
  • Phone;
  • WhatsApp;
  • Email;
  • Social media; or
  • Other agreed digital communication channels.

These channels may be used for enquiries, measurements, design discussions, order confirmation, payment information, pickup, delivery, fitting, customer support and other service-related communication.

Marketing communications will be handled separately according to applicable privacy and consent requirements.

32. Privacy and Personal Data

Personal information provided to Ankita Boutique is handled according to our Privacy Policy & Digital Personal Data Protection Notice.

This may include information collected through our website, phone, WhatsApp, social media, advertising channels, business listings and other customer communication channels.

Customers are encouraged to read our Privacy Policy to understand how personal data is collected, used, shared, retained and protected.

33. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers for purposes such as:

  • Website hosting;
  • Forms and technical services;
  • Communication;
  • Payments;
  • Analytics;
  • Advertising;
  • Courier and logistics;
  • Delivery; and
  • Other business-support functions.

Such third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Ankita Boutique remains responsible for its own activities within the scope required by applicable law, but cannot control independent processing carried out by third parties outside our reasonable control.

34. Website Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the website available and functioning.

However, uninterrupted availability cannot always be guaranteed.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance;
  • Technical problems;
  • Hosting issues;
  • Security incidents;
  • Network problems;
  • Software updates;
  • Third-party service issues; or
  • Other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

We may modify, update, suspend or discontinue parts of the website or its features when reasonably necessary.

35. Circumstances Beyond Reasonable Control

Ankita Boutique will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances that are genuinely beyond our reasonable control, which may include:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Severe weather;
  • Fire;
  • Flood;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Transport disruption;
  • Major technical failures;
  • Internet or communication outages;
  • Courier or logistics disruption;
  • Public emergencies; or
  • Other similar circumstances.

Where reasonably possible, we will communicate significant delays and take reasonable steps to resume the service.

36. Prohibited Activities

Customers must not use our website or services for:

  • Fraudulent orders;
  • False or misleading information;
  • Harassment or threats;
  • Malicious files or harmful code;
  • Unauthorised system access;
  • Scraping or unauthorised commercial copying;
  • Misrepresentation of Ankita Boutique; or
  • Any unlawful activity.

We may take reasonable protective action where such activity is identified.

37. Consumer and Other Legal Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to:

  • Remove a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded;
  • Prevent access to a legally available consumer forum or authority;
  • Exclude a mandatory statutory remedy; or
  • Override any applicable mandatory legal requirement.

Where applicable law provides a right, remedy or protection that conflicts with a provision of these Terms, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.

38. Changes to These Terms

Ankita Boutique may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, applicable laws, or other relevant requirements.

Customers are encouraged to visit this page periodically to stay informed about the latest Terms & Conditions.

Any updated version will be published on this website with the revised “Last Updated” date.

For an existing confirmed order, the terms and order details applicable at the time of confirmation will generally continue to apply, subject to applicable law.

39. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in India.

If a concern arises, customers are encouraged to contact Ankita Boutique first so that the matter can be reviewed and, where reasonably possible, resolved directly.

Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising any consumer, statutory or other legal remedy available under applicable law.

Any jurisdiction or dispute-resolution arrangement will remain subject to mandatory legal requirements.
